HI I'M RI,
I believe we have all been blessed with the gift to lead abundantly successful and fulfilled lives, we just don't all receive the keys at the same time.
"If you don't like what you do or how you do it, then it isn't really success at all."
Nobody envisions the iceberg that is going to take them down until its staring them in the face...
At the age of 28 I was running a thriving event management business until one day I found myself a newly single mum of four children, and homeless after my business partnership ended badly and I lost my house.
I had to up and leave the place I grew up in, pack up my four bedroom house and move into my nan’s house, a single room on a single bed with four children. I could only take the things I could fit in a cab along with two of my family members and the cab driver. So not much. Everything else was gone, all my life possessions.
It was a tough, steep process and also the most wildly character enhancing journey…
But after 2.5 years without a home of our own I managed to turn it around, and secure a beautiful house, in a beautiful part of England and embark on this new chapter. I committed to putting into alignment my whole life by no longer doing things that didn’t serve me professionally, weren’t congruent with who I wanted to become and that offered no intrinsic value to who I was deeply.
But I just didn’t figure this out alone, as I learnt nobody does... everybody needs help.
It wasn’t until I spoke to a coach for the first time that it all became so clear and my confidence for just going with what my heart truly desired skyrocketed.
By investing in myself and really putting some skin in the game I got serious about taking every aspect of my life to the next level.
From 0 - 100 in a couple of months! It was one of the most scariest things I have ever done to invest in myself but the minute it was done it was also the most satisfying and I knew I had made the right decision.
We need to consistently check our perspective in life as there is always someone going through times much more challenging.
In my own season of struggle, I had a lot of time to reflect on women across the seas who have suffered and continue to suffer hardships much greater than mine. It sparked in me, a need to contribute to the cause dedicated to the eradication of sex trafficking in India rescuing, rehabilitating, repatriating and educating victims of this.
As my trainer says ‘honour the struggle’.
I can honestly say I have found my journey to be so enjoyable with the uncertainty along the way, the change, the risk, the forced jumps, the high’s and the lows. Every day I truly consider myself extremely blessed, unbelievably fortunate and I live with the utmost appreciation for everything and everyone in my life.
All we need is faith, commitment to growth, a practice of true gratefulness and a desire to really serve with whatever we do. Then we seriously win. Anything is possible. Just know that firstly you are enough, and you don’t need to do anything in this life alone…
Live with gratitude, show up with joy and work with intention...
